Historic St Augustine Landmark

Genung’s Fish Camp, located in Crescent Beach at the end of Cubbedge Road, opened in 1948. Jack and Mary Jane Genung ran the shop and also lived in the house on the property from 1948 to the late ’90s until Jack Genung suffered a stroke. The property was then purchased by a group of neighbors who wanted to preserve and protect the property from development. Ownership and the name of the business changed many times throughout the early 2000s until Walter Coker took over in 2015 and brought back the original name, “Genung’s Fish Camp”. In the following two years, the fish camp was impacted by Hurricane Matthew in October 2016 and Hurricane Irma in September 2017, just before Adam and Janine took over operations.
